Welcome
Welcome to our website about Willowbrook, a new, genuinely sustainable neighbourhood which will deliver a thriving community and become a distinctive gateway to Cheltenham.
Bloor Homes is readying its plans for the first phase Willowbrook at Northwest Cheltenham, a mixed-use development located on land north of Tewkesbury Road (A4019) between the M5 Junction 10 and west of Uckington.
The site was designated as Safeguarded Land in the Joint Core Strategy (JCS) and is located outside of the greenbelt. The site has been designated for future development with the clear expectation that it would be brought forward for housing and employment development as part of the Strategic Local Plan which is currently being prepared and will supersede the JCS.
Willowbrook is one of the three key cornerstones of the case for the upgrading of Junction 10 (the ‘DCO Scheme’), with the other two drivers being Elms Park (North West Cheltenham Strategic Allocation) and the wider regional development such as the new national cyber centre at Golden Valley. The upgrading of the M5 Junction 10 provides a rare opportunity to offer such transformative economic and social benefits for a region and is the primary lever to deliver up to 12,000 skilled jobs and 15,000 homes across the region.
